A major entertainment conglomerate with 100,000 employees working in television stations, film studios, and amusement parks throughout the United States, sought to expand their HR communications capabilities. Providing detailed information and services to their diverse mix of unconnected employees represented an important opportunity to streamline communications, improve efficiency and reduce overall expenses.

Expanding the company's HR communications capabilities required a new system that was easy-to-use, cost effective and highly secure. Among their requirements was the ability to integrate an existing SAP HR module with a complex corporate enterprise portal, in order to completely extend selfservice functionality for their unconnected employees.

Prior to seeking outside expertise, the company had attempted to build its own complete solution, but the project stalled due to overwhelming complexities. Ultimately, they made a decision to seek out a partner with proven expertise in delivering extended, secure, integrated HR Self-Service systems in public access environments. They turned to Netkey.
