In order to profit from significantly improved cost savings, Korean Air has recently integrated printers from leading printer manufacturer Star Micronics into its ticket issuing system. Given the phenomenal success of the new system the airline is soon planning to implement the system on a global scale.
Korean Air has chosen to team up with Star Micronics for the issuing of boarding tickets and baggage claim tags. The system uses the TSP700 thermal ticket printer - a printer that offers high speed output at 180mm per second, as well as performance longevity and versatility. A high quality, fast single station printer, the TSP700 provides the option for colour output and to print tickets using paper stock up to 0.15mm/150gsm.
