Lextech Global Services Works With Lextech Labs And Axis Communications To Provide Video Infrastructure For iPhoneDevCamp 3

Lextech Global Services, leading provider of custom iPhone app development services, recently announced that it is working with Lextech Labs, world class video surveillance application company, and Axis Communications, the global leader in the network video market, to provide the video infrastructure for iPhoneDevCamp 3 in Sunnyvale, CA, from July 31 to August 2, 2009.

The video setup will use Apple's new HTTP video streaming protocol, the AXIS Q1755 Network Camera and Lextech Global Services' custom solution to stream live audio and video of the keynote presentation to iPhone users around the world.

The annual iPhoneDevCamp is a gathering place for software developers worldwide to collaborate on, peer review and create new iPhone applications. For the first time since the event's inception, hundreds of developers will be able to access live video of the event on their iPhones.

"Once again, Lextech comes through for iPhoneDevCamp 3. This year, in addition to providing logistical support and leadership, they'll be providing attendees with a copy and on-site demonstration of their video surveillance tool, iRa C3 for iPhone," said Dominic Sagolla, co-founder of iPhoneDevCamp. "Winner of the "Coolest App" award at iPhoneDevCamp 2, this app has come all the way around the globe and back to us this year as a product. I cannot wait to see how Alex and his team set up the Yahoo campus this weekend."

Lextech Global Services will establish the telepresence by setting up the video distribution architecture before the event, and Lextech Labs will provide copies of iRa C3 to attendees and remote participants to access and control the video feeds. Axis Communications donated AXIS 207MW, AXIS 215 PTZ and AXIS Q1755 Network Cameras.

"We are participating in this event because it promotes open collaboration in the development community, a practice from which we all benefit," said Fredrik Nilsson, general manager of Axis Communications. "The system architecture itself is an example of how an innovative app presented at last year's event (iRa Pro by Lextech) integrates easily with our network cameras for a practical purpose."

Video footage recorded at the event will be available for viewing on the Lextech website after the event's conclusion on Sunday.
