New Engineering Expertise At Accu-Time Systems

In its continuing quest to develop proven new workforce management, time and attendance, and security access products for its customers, Accu-Time Systems is pleased to announce that Dr. Larry Medwin, PhD, has joined the company as a Software Engineer. Dr. Medwin earned his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University's prestigious School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

In addition to his distinguished academic career, Dr. Medwin holds a patent for a CMOS device with silicided sources and drains and methods. He has written for several technical publications and is "fluent" in C, C++, Python, Java, TCL, TK and Unix shells. Medwin previously worked as a Software Engineer for Gentex Corporation in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Dr. Medwin will contribute to the ATS Software Engineering Group by working to develop new products as well as improve existing platforms. According to David Cote, ATS' Software Engineering Manager, "Dr. Medwin's expertise in the development of embedded devices, high speed computers, medical device technology, and telecommunications will expand the already considerable expertise in our Software Engineering Group." Mr. Cote further stated, "Dr. Medwin's experience with the Java programming language will allow us to enhance the interface used by our developer partners so that it is cleaner, more intuitive, easier, and quicker to use than ever. New documentation and rich examples will be created to take a developer step-by-step through the requirements to program on our Global Series of products using Java."
