Regis Corporation Selects Epson TM-T88V For 8,000-Unit Rollout
July 8, 2010
Epson America, Inc., a leading supplier of value-added printing solutions for the retail industry, announced recently that Regis Corporation, the global leader in the $150-$170B haircare industry, has selected the newly-released Epson TM-T88V single-station thermal printer for an 8,000-unit rollout to Regis Corporation's corporate salon locations throughout North America, including Supercuts, Cost Cutters, Regis Salons and MasterCuts. Regis Corporation chose the Epson printer because of its industry-leading energy efficiency, operational cost savings and high reliability.
"We know Epson's industry-wide reputation for reliability, and selecting their TM-T88V was an environmentally-responsible decision," said Oliver Lederer, IT Director for Store Operations, Regis Corporation. "The substantial dollars saved on energy costs over the life of the product make this a smart business decision."
"Customers are looking for technology that cuts costs," commented Mike Helm, Director of Sales and Marketing, Epson System Device Group. "The TM-T88V stacks up well against competitive products in every way, and lowering energy costs equals the tangible ROI that retail executives expect."
The selection of Epson is part of Regis's North American POS refresh project, which is being supported by Storeworks, a master integrator and single source provider of store-level peripheral solutions. Distribution will be handled through BlueStar and is expected to continue over the next 24-36 months. Epson's TM-T88-series is the world's best-selling thermal printer to date, with over five million units installed worldwide.
