Price checking is one of the most obvious applications for mini-kiosks, but it's also the low-hanging fruit. There is so much more that a mini-kiosk can do, assuming the application development work as been done, the connectivity to the data is in place, the kiosks are made conspicuous and inviting to the customer, etc. Catch up with Part 1 of this series.
A common question we ask is "How can we improve our customer's shopping experience?", but maybe what we should really be asking is "How can we mitigate their frustration?" Let's face it, when a customer needs help, for even the simplest of things and can't find a sales associate, the frustration begins. But what if a minikiosk is positioned close by and in a manner that invites the customer to use it? Now they can verify that price. And maybe we can also give them some information about the warranty they should know. Maybe we can advise them that this product isn't suitable for children under the age of four.
