Customer fulfillment is integral to cross-channel customer success. Best-in-class retailers are twice as likely as laggard retailers to enable integrated inventory planning, order visibility, and customer fulfillment as a result of an intense focus on integrated customer processes across channels. Aberdeen surveyed 220 retail enterprises in 2009 to determine the current state of fulfillment automation technology, challenges surrounding cross-channel operations, and the need for greater process integration.
