The Retail Equation's David Justus Named 2012 CFO Of The Year By The Orange County Business Journal

IRVINE, Calif. — The Retail Equation Inc., the industry leader in retail transaction optimization solutions, today announced its chief financial officer and head of government affairs, David Justus, received the Orange County Business Journal 2012 CFO of the Year Award in the Rising Star category. The award recognizes Chief Financial Officers for demonstrating exceptional accomplishments within their organization and profession, as well as to the Orange County community. Justus was selected for his achievements in the required categories, as well as for his substantial impact on the growth and risk management of The Retail Equation despite facing personal adversity.

The award was presented at the Orange County Business Journal's 6th Annual CFO of the Year Awards Ceremony. Justus was one of 43 nominated candidates and selected as the winner of the Rising Star category by a panel of professionals from the Orange County Business Journal and The California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Justus joined The Retail Equation in 2004 and has more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, business strategy and government affairs. Justus recently helped lead The Retail Equation through a sale to Norwest Venture Partners (NVP) shortly after his two-year-old son was diagnosed with Fragile X. Concurrently, Justus became a member of the Board of Directors for the National Fragile X Foundation and the Chairman and Co-founder of Friends for Fragile X, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation focused on raising awareness and financial assistance in Orange County to support science in finding a cure for Fragile X.
