When Deb Dixson was CISO at Best Buy, she made it her priority to ensure that payment or consumer-related data that wasn't mission-critical to the business was not harbored within the walls of her enterprise.

Today, Dixson is senior vice president, security solutions and managed services at Ingenico. She's still a data minimalist with a bend toward risk mitigation, but she's sold on the potential of tokenization as a means toward achieving both payment security and cross-disciplinary access to valuable business data.

I talked to Dixson about her company's take on payment security within the retail space for this month's Q&A.
