Advanced Cabinet Systems Integrates New Estimating Software

ACS has upgraded their estimating technology to simplify their processes and provide more accurate information to customers.

Advanced Cabinet Systems (ACS) has integrated Alliance Millsoft, a new estimating software for their Marion, Indiana facility. Alliance Millsoft is a company that develops estimating software for the woodworking industry. The decision to upgrade their estimating technology stemmed from a need to simplify the process and provide more accurate information to their customers. Located on the south side of Marion, IN, ACS is a leader in the architectural casework and retail fixturing industries.

The management team at ACS worked with the estimating department to develop departmental process innovation strategies, resulting in the technology upgrade. “The new software allows us to add pertinent information such as project scope, create an order checklist, delivery, and changing specifications after a project starts,” says Carla Shelton, Estimator—ACS. According to ACS, the software will improve company-wide synergy by syncing all job information from the time a job is entered to the time it’s invoiced.

In addition to the added benefits for jobs containing casework, the software allows ACS to include information for architectural millwork such as material pricing and labor hours. “We’re now able to more accurately price our millwork and retail fixtures, which will be a time-saver and beneficial to both ACS and our customers,” says Shelton.

The ACS estimating staff has been diligently learning the technology and implementing their infrastructure into the new software. ACS plans to start using the new technology in September.
