When orders are placed before noon, any day of the week, customers can expect their purchases to be conveniently at their doorstep by 9 p.m. the same day. Customers can order from a wide range of items including laptops, printers and ink, new movies, video games, game consoles, back-to-school essentials, electronic accessories, books , cell phone chargers, household cleaning products, power tools, kitchen and home appliances, grocery staples, and necessary baby products that frequently and urgently needs replenished, such as wipes, formula, and diapers. “Imagine how much time you will save now that you can get sunscreen, memory cards, toothpaste, hit movies, text books and HDMI cables all delivered to your home in hours, seven days a week, in one order from Amazon,” said Greg Greeley, Vice President, Amazon Prime.

Searching for same day delivery products is simplified by checking the “get it today” box—revealing all qualifying items that fall under same-day delivery, or for orders that can wait, customers can choose “Get It By Tomorrow” delivery, with even more products available with the option of receiving it the next day.

The Amazon Same-Day Delivery program is competition to same-day services including Google Shopping Express—offering free delivery to members on all purchases for 6 months and $4.99 per order for non-members, Walmart To Go—charging the price of the lowest costing item, and Target’s “Rush Delivery”—including over 30,000 products to choose from, charging a $10 delivery fee. Amazon Prime members only pay the fee of $5.99 for all products ordered, whereas non-Prime members pay $9.98 toward the first product, and $0.99 for each additional product added to their shopping cart. “With more than a million eligible items, we aim to offer the largest same-day selection at the lowest price,” stated Greely, regarding Amazon’s pricing policy.
