South Florida has long been fertile ground for companies that supply and support the world’s EAS industry. And it was certainly no surprise when another upstart named Best Security Industries, (BSI), came to life in 1995. BSI, headquartered in Delray Beach, FL, first entered the EAS market by providing value to retailers through the procurement and resale of pre-owned EAS systems and hard tags. The natural life cycles of retail businesses today, i.e., store openings and closings, still allow for the continual availability of valuable and resalable EAS products. To this day, pre-owned product sales remain a significant portion of the overall business.
