C. Wonder Chooses Mobile POS Over Traditional Systems
July 2012 Integrated Solutions For Retailers
By Bob Johns, associate editor
The upstart retailer has gone one better in the world of customer service by eliminating cash wraps entirely.
Recently, investor and entrepreneur J. Christopher Burch had an idea for a totally new retail concept, C. Wonder, featuring clothing, accessories, and home decor. He wanted to create a customer experience that allows associates to engage with customers at any point within the store, and, more importantly, be there to capture the sale right when the customer is motivated to purchase. This required new thinking around the POS structure. Burch brought current C. Wonder VP of IT Mattias Douhan on board to discuss the POS and IT structures in a start-up retail environment.
