Conad Adriatico Inspires The Future Of Shopping
Joya and Shopevolution 6.0 Products Support the Conad Adriatico Chain of Supermarkets
Eugene OR, USA - Conad Adriatico always pushes innovation and grasps every market opportunity to satisfy or stimulate modern consumer needs.
To maintain this philosophy, the Conad supermarket of San Benedetto del Tronto, one of more than 330 Conad Adriatico stores, completely renovated its look. It recently re-opened its doors with several new services to offer its customers.
One of these is "Spesa al volo", the self-shopping service that allows supermarket customers to shop in a fun, simple, and innovative way with Datalogic’s Joya™ pod. Eighty-four Joya pods are available for customers to “play" with while shopping: one must simply point the Joya pod at the product barcode and click on a button to make the price of the product appear on the display, along with the shopping total and complete list of products packed in the shopping bags. When shopping is done, instead of having to wait in line at the checkout counter, the shopper can go directly to the reserved self-payment machines, making even payment quick and simple.
Conad Adriatico has chosen the Shopevolution™ 6.0 technology to support the Joya pod. This multi-platform middleware (supporting all major databases and operating systems) goes beyond normal self-scanning, by adding new functions, such as Push and Pull Marketing, One to One Communication and Digital Signage.
In this manner, Datalogic continues to reaffirm the Shopevolution technology’s success and leadership in this sector with installations in over 400 stores in several countries, such as Italy (Coop, Conad, Auchan, Esselunga, Famila, Lombardini, Finiper, E.Leclerc Conad, Iperal, Bennet), France (Groupe Casino, ATAC and Carrefour), Belgium (Delhaize Group and Carrefour) and the United States.
