Leading Spanish supermarket network adds antennas, high-theft solutions as part of store refurbishment program.
As one of Spain’s largest and most successful supermarket chains, Consum has always thought big. That approach has paid off in a big way for the 37-year-old retailer; 2011 revenues exceeded 1.7 billion euros ($2.2 billion US), and Consum now operates more than 600 supermarket outlets and employs more than 10,000 people.
So when the company decided to embark upon a wide-ranging store refurbishment initiative, Consum also decided to take aim at its shrink management challenges with a comprehensive program including Electronic Article Surveillance antennas, high-theft solutions, RF-EAS tags and source tagging solutions.
