eCommera is an ecommerce services provider that offers advisory, support and software services to help retailers develop and operate world-class ecommerce businesses. Its focus is on building successful multi-channel businesses, not just launching good Websites. eCommera provides retailers with ongoing support to ensure that year after year, its customers continue to realize their potential in whichever market they trade. Consumers today shop across channels—online, in store and via call center. They browse online to determine which stores to visit. They go to stores to try on outfits, and then buy online. To be successful, retailers must recognize and capitalize on this new customer behavior, and offer consistently excellent brand experiences across all their channels and eCommera is committed to their success.

"eCommera's mission is to launch and grow the most iconic and profitable brands in Europe. By combining the merchandising power of Demandware with the advice and support of our retail ecommerce experts, we are able to help our customers build successful and sustainable online businesses, with breakthrough results," said Andrew McGregor, CEO of eCommera.

The alliance with eCommera further expands Demandware's European operations, which include sales offices and datacenters in the UK and Germany, a development and support office in Germany and an extensive European partner network that includes some of the leading European organizations for the design, delivery and ongoing support of enterprise-class ecommerce sites. European retailers represent more than one third of Demandware's business. Other Demandware clients in Europe include s.Oliver, Timberland, Playmobil, Jochen Schweizer and SportScheck. The market opportunity for online retail in Europe continues to be strong. According to a recent Forrester Research report, Europeans spent more than €19 billion online during the 2008 holiday season, a 25% year-over-year increase ("Outlook For European Online Retail: Christmas 2008" Forrester Research, December 19, 2008).
