Rugged Tablets Offer Reliable, Secure Computing for Multiple Applications

DT Research, Inc., an industry leader in the development of information appliances for vertical markets, today announced the latest in their line of Mobile Tablets, the DT365 and the DT315CT. With 8.4” and 9.7” capacitive touch screens, respectively, and a high performance yet energy-efficient Intel Atom dual-core processor, these durable tablets bring streamlined operations to multiple applications, such as restaurant order systems, inventory management, and hospitality services.

The DT365 and DT315CT offer fully integrated data-capture options for reliable processing; the magnetic stripe reader (MSR) retrieves information from payment cards, ID, and loyalty program cards, the 2D barcode scanner improves inventory management, and the 5M camera verifies promotions and set up. The DT365 also has an optional RFID reader, for tracking equipment tags and retail products.  The DT315CT integrates a smart card reader into the slim, durable design, so that program, staff, and payment cards can be quickly read and verified.

The DT365 and DT315CT support Windows Embedded Standard 7, Windows 7 Professional, and Linux operating systems, making it flexible to integrate with third-party applications.

With built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection, and an option for WWAN/GPS, as well as IP54 front-panel rating to protect from water and dust, the new DT365 and DT315CT Mobile Tablets can truly go anywhere, and give an effective tool to manage information and optimize staff workflow, whether in a restaurant, warehouse, or the drive-thru.

As with most products from DT Research, the DT365 and DT315CT includes the comprehensive remote management through the server-based WebDT Device Manager software. Both the DT365 and DT315CT Mobile Tablets are available now from DT Research’s resellers.
