The football team and its partner soccer team deployed mobile POS devices in their expanded Pro Shop to keep customers moving quickly through transactions and back to the game.

The NFL has a problem. The fan experience at home has vastly improved with the availability of HDTV, the NFL Network, the NFL Sunday Ticket, and big-screen TVs. Consequently, many fans are opting for a seat on their couch rather than one in the stadium during game day. This is why NFL teams are working to drastically improve the game experience by adding huge scoreboards with HD, strategically placed in-stadium screens for closer viewing, streaming video to cellphones, text message updates in real time, and exclusive in-stadium content like locker-room live feeds. But one facet of the live game experience that has always bothered both fans and the teams they support is the long lines in the stadium pro shops. Fans get frustrated with these lines since they would rather be in their seats watching the game, and the teams know that the long lines sometimes deter shoppers entirely or force others to walk out of a store after waiting too long. This is where the Seattle Seahawks are making a real difference.

The Seahawks currently play at CenturyLink Field in downtown Seattle. The stadium is also home to the Seattle Sounders FC, a professional soccer club based in Seattle and competing in Major League Soccer (MLS), the top professional soccer league in the United States and Canada.
