IKEA Richmond Expands Offer To Enhance Shopping Experience

Redesigned showrooms and added services will make shopping even easier

Richmond, British Columbia (Marketwired) - IKEA has announced today that IKEA Richmond added a variety of new services and invested in renewed store displays to provide customers with an even better shopping experience. Amongst the additional services, IKEA Richmond has launched a new in-store Shopping Service, is now offering the IKEA FAMILY loyalty program and is equipped with free WiFi. This is on top of the remodeled store showrooms, which will help provide maximum inspiration for customers.

"Our ambition is to make IKEA more accessible to the many Canadians and IKEA Richmond is committed to contributing to this goal." said Steve Foster, Store Manager, IKEA Richmond. "We have increased our service offer which will result in our customers having easier access to our products. The inspirational in-store shopping experience will continue to be a priority and we are investing in updating our showrooms to provide our customers with the best possible shopping experience."

The new in-store Shopping Service will allow customers who wish to take advantage of the program, to have their furniture picked up for them and delivered directly to their homes. The iconic do-it-yourself retailer has added this service to round out its existing offer of delivery, assembly, installation, and kitchen services. The new IKEA Shopping Service has been priced competitively at $89.

IKEA Richmond is also expanding its digital service offer. Free in store WiFi will make customer shopping more convenient by providing the ability to surf the mobile version of IKEA's website or download the IKEA Canada Shopping App, making it easier to; browse products, scan bar codes, discover special offers. It also allows customers to check stock availability from right in the showroom, create shopping lists and locate products in the self-serve warehouse. Also, adding to the convenience, customers can now use the free Wi-Fi service to bypass the checkout by purchasing direct from a mobile device even while browsing in-store.

With the launch of the free IKEA FAMILY loyalty program customers can sign up at any in-store kiosk or online (at IKEA.ca/Family) to enjoy great savings on products, special monthly offers, food offers and additional services and benefits. Plus, each time customers make a member purchase or scan their membership card at a kiosk, they're automatically entered into a monthly draw for a $100 IKEA gift card.

In an effort to expand its range even further and offer customers great choice, IKEA also recently announced that it has started selling a vegan-friendly veggie ball in all its restaurants. Adding a new twist to the iconic Swedish meatball, the launch of the veggie ball is the first step to include a wider variety of healthier and more sustainable food choices. The veggie ball consists of only vegetables and therefore has a lower environmental impact, such as a lower carbon footprint.

IKEA Richmond is one of two IKEA stores in British Columbia. The second IKEA location is in Coquitlam and also offers IKEA's enhanced shopping services.
