The Merchant Risk Council concentrates on four components — networking, benchmarking, education, and advocacy — to help retailers improve operational efficiencies and create fraud prevention programs to benefit the bottom line. They work directly with card issuers, brands, and merchants to recognize growing fraud risks and enable commerce. I recently spoke with Tom Donlea, managing director of Americas, of the Merchant Risk Council, to discuss some of the top fraud risks and how to mitigate them.
