New Recorder And Video Management Software From OpenEye

OpenEye is proud to announce the official launch of new versions of two signature solutions: RADIUS v5 and Server Software v5! These two software packages include valuable upgrades from the previously-available versions, and, when paired together, offer powerful support for remote viewing of 360° cameras and full remote access to recorder setup, using RADIUS.

Our commitment is to provide Heroic Customer Service and to ensure our customer's complete satisfaction. We are pleased to offer you a series of live presentation webinars for RADIUS and Server v5 showing the new software features and GUI in action. Please take advantage of this offer and sign up today!

RADIUS v5
RADIUS v5 video management software incorporates automatic transcoding with a redesigned user interface for more efficiency and increased ease-of-use. It also includes new features such as Digital Zoom, Search in Live, and full access to your recorder setup menu from a remote RADIUS workstation when combined with OpenEye Server Software v5.

RADIUS v5 Features

  • NEW Automatic transcoding
  • NEW 360° Camera support
  • NEW Full Remote Configuration when used with OpenEye Server Software v5
  • NEW Search In Live
  • NEW Digital Zoom feature (replacement for Hot Spot)

For more in-depth explanation of key features, please refer to the RADIUS v5 Sales Brief. For a full list of improvements, added features, and known issues, please refer to the RADIUS v5 Release Notes.

Server Software v5
OpenEye Server Software v5 for OpenEye Professional recorders unlocks many of the enhanced features of RADIUS v5, and acts as a powerful surveillance tool on its own. It is compatible with Generation 5 and Generation 6 OpenEye Professional Recorders, and provides 360° camera support, intuitive camera discovery for easy set-up, and a redesigned user interface for greater ease-of-use.

As a courtesy to our customers, we will continue to ship professional grade recorders and NVR units with server software v4.5 until May 1st. This will allow you time to acclimate to the new GUI and train your technicians.

Due to the significant improvements available in server v5, and the inability to migrate settings from Server 4.5 when upgrading, we recommend customers begin updating units in the field prior to the May 1st deadline.

Server v5 Features

  • NEW 360° Camera support
  • NEW Full Remote Configuration when used with RADIUS v5
  • NEW Increased control over recording setup schedule; up to 32 individual schedules
  • NEW Faster, easier-to-use setup menus
  • NEW Redesigned user interface for increased ease-of-use

Other Updates
Recording Schedule: The new recording schedule setup allows up to 32 individual schedules for motion detection, sensor recording, and continuous recording. It is much different from previous versions of Server Software. For a brief set of instructions, please refer to the Server 5.0 Recording Schedule Quick Reference Guide.
