360pi And IBM Collaborate To Help Retailers Price Competitively In Real-Time

Unique API embeds 360pi real-time price intelligence into IBM dynamic pricing engine

Today at Shop.org’s Annual Summit, 360pi, the leader in price intelligence is pleased to announce further collaboration and integration with IBM, to facilitate more automated and dynamic pricing for joint customers. The resulting solution leverages 360pi’s real-time price intelligence for exact and “like” products within IBM’s cloud-based omni-channel pricing platform enabling retailers to maximize sales, profit and shopper loyalty through more timely and coordinated pricing decisions. With this unique integration joint customers can accelerate their time to market for intelligent dynamic pricing and lower their total cost of ownership.

"As a long-time customer of both 360pi and IBM, Ace Hardware have benefited from making smarter pricing decisions through the combination of real-time price intelligence data and the market's leading pricing solution," said Brian Wiborg, Director, Category Management and Retail Development for Ace Hardware Corporation. "This enhanced integration will enable us to more rapidly and dynamically adjust prices in response to varying market conditions and competitor pricing activity."

“One of the key ways retailers can effectively compete and grow margins today is to price in time with strategic inter- and intra-day price changes,” stated Alexander Rink, CEO, 360pi. “By embedding our real-time price intelligence directly into IBM’s omni-channel pricing engine, retailers are able to realize real-time pricing even more efficiently and effectively.”

In addition to dynamic pricing, this joint solution will provide retailers with the unique advantage of supporting real-time zone pricing, along with the ability to act on pricing insights for similar products including private brands.

“360pi is the recognized leader in real-time price intelligence and we have been working closely together to support our mutual customers including Ace Hardware for several years,” said Tom Croke, General Manager, Merchandising Solutions, IBM ExperienceOne. “By combining 360pi’s data and insights with IBM’s cloud-based omni-channel pricing solution, retailers can be more prescriptive in dynamically responding to only those competitor price changes that matter.”

360pi is currently exhibiting at the 2014 Shop.org Annual Summit and encourages people attending to stop by their booth (#2525).
