Five Reasons why using a single mobile device manufacturer increases risks and costs
In the past decade we’ve seen a tremendous increase of mobile technology in the hands of retail workers. More than ever, retailers use hand held computers, printers and scanners to manage stock, pricing and workflow. As reliance on these mobile devices grows it exposes a new risk: power. These devices are only as reliable as the batteries that power them. And because mobile devices are in constant use, batteries are dying all the time. When this happens across a large enterprise, device repair costs skyrocket, along with repeated interruptions in work.
Despite the increasing use of the technology, there are now only two major OEM hardware manufacturers. But choosing one of these single-source vendors for mobile hardware and repair can put a retailer in a vulnerable position. An independent battery service company can change that
