Island Pacific (AMEX:IPI) announced today the successful implementation of Retail Pro® at the International Speedway Corporation's premier racing events — the Daytona 500 in Daytona Beach, Florida and the Auto Club 500 in Fontana, California.

At the Daytona 500 alone, over 240 terminals assisted International Speedway Corporation (ISC) in setting milestones for revenue, enhancing the fan experience via quicker transactions, and providing ISC management with real time information on sales and inventory levels. This was the largest single site deployment of Retail Pro®.

Island Pacific teamed up with business partner, POSabilities to bring ISC a new Enterprise Management System, which connects ISC headquarters to their subsidiary's (Americrown) merchandise management centers in Daytona, trackside inventory warehouses, over 40 18 Wheelers, trackside stores built specifically for races, and a handful of permanent store locations throughout the United States.

President of POSabililties, R Michael Smith, said "The POSabilities retail team has been deployed on a full time basis since May of 2004, successfully accomplishing Phase I of the Trackside Retail Project and the team performed mightily in making it happen for our client. The POSabilities services division and Island Pacific have both displayed a ‘what-ever-it-takes' attitude for our shared client. The Daytona 500 was the epitome of teamwork and quality service to our client."

"ISC's needs were very demanding and unique from the beginning. The Daytona 500, as well as at the California Auto Club 500, were our first significant tests of the system. Tens of thousands of transactions were processed in just a few hours at the Daytona 500 and everything worked well. Our expectations for training time and transaction speed for each race were surpassed, due in large to the new technology provided by Retail Pro®" stated Craig Neeb, Chief Information Officer of ISC. Neeb continued, "We have been very pleased with the relationship with Island Pacific and POSabilities. This was a major project and a unique application of the technology. A successful implementation could not have been accomplished without a true team effort. The result of all this is a positive impact on our bottom line."

Mike Tomczak, President and Chief Executive Officer of Island Pacific said, "The success that Retail Pro® has had with ISC is a direct result of the fantastic execution by all teams involved. We are proud to work with a professional and progressive business like ISC and look forward to continued success. This project illustrates the flexibility of both the Retail Pro® product and the Island Pacific team. It also underscores the value of the relationship between Island Pacific and its reseller channel."
