Online retailer, Atom Retro are set to open a flagship bricks and mortar store to compliment their online offering.

Malton, North Yorkshire (PRWEB UK) - Retro clothing retailer, Atom Retro are to move into the high street with the opening of their first 'brick and mortar' store. The town of Malton in North Yorkshire has been earmarked as the location of the new store. This is the first move to a physical shop for Atom Retro, who have been online retailers for 10 years this year.

"It’s a slight reversal in the usual trend of 'shop to online presence', but as we venture into our first bricks and mortar store, we feel we’ve got something good to offer," says Atom Retro's director and founder, Alister Poulton. "After trading online for 10 years, we’ve got a great selection of brands who are more than happy to see their ranges in store at Atom Retro. We’re going to tie the opening in with our 10th anniversary celebrations as well, so we’ll try and get some exciting stuff organised over the coming months.”

A close commute to and from York and Scarborough, the town is ideal with near proximity to Atom Retro headquarters and warehouse operations in Scarborough. “We hope we can work alongside existing businesses within the Malton vacinity to create a great shopping experience for residents of the town, visitors and tourists," explains Alister. "There are already some really nice clothing and footwear retailers in the town and we hope our offering will compliment this. It’s seems like quite an ambitious place. In fact, we’ve already had great support from some of the businesses in the area and we haven’t even opened yet!”

The new Atom Retro store has a provisional opening date of the end of August after work on the store layout and refurbishment has been completed. Describing the new store, Alister says, "We’ll be keeping the retro heritage fashion feel that our name has become synonymous with and keep the store looking clean and sharp. We’ll work with seasonal themes and and give a good account of all brands that are represented in the store with clear, concise brand imagery and info complimented by subtle and sophisticated decor. There will be some great mod gear represented alongside a host of interesting themes. We’ll play around with our love of heritage, nostalgia, music, sport and film to create a great shopping experience for our customers."

Already a well established online business, trading primarily from their website at http://www.atomretro.com, Atom Retro specialises in a retro, heritage look with a nod to sixties mod fashions. Atom Retro stocks a wide range of popular mens and womens clothing brands including Pretty Green, Farah Vintage, Baracuta and Ben Sherman for men and Darling, Lovestruck and Traffic People for women, all of which will feature in the Malton shop. Atom Retro's house brand, Madcap England is also tipped to feature prominently in the new shop!

Alister says, “Some might say it’s a brave move in the current economic climate, but we’re always ready for a challenge and we think Malton is really quite a beautiful place to start our latest venture."
