Recently, I cohosted the third annual Cross-Channel Retail Consortium, and one of the participants made the statement, "It is about a distance race, not a sprint; you need to get it right over the long haul." Reviewing the results of the Integrated Solutions For Retailers, I was reminded that every solution selected as an area of investment is important; however, the solutions that should be a retailer's priority are dependent on where they are in that race.
