Staples Center And AEG Host Grand Opening Of The Brand New TEAM LA Store

Recently STAPLES Center and AEG unveiled the brand new 7,00 square foot TEAM LA store at STAPLES Center. The new store features more space, more Lakers, Clippers, Kings and Sparks gear and less waiting in line. There are more than 20 points of sale throughout the store and the new location is better equipped to serve fans. Additions to the store include a brand new in-store jersey customization station for Kings, Lakers and Clippers jerseys.

"We are incredibly excited to open the brand new TEAM LA Store for all of the southern California sports fans, tourists and anyone that stops by STAPLES Center year round," Lee Zeidman, President, STAPLES Center. "The new store is twice the size of the old location and provides fans with more space, more merchandise and we are able to get fans in and out quickly."

In conjunction with the grand opening of the new TEAM LA Store the Los Angeles Kings also unveiled their NHL Stadium Series Jersey at the store and live on FOX Sports West broadcast during their road game against the St. Louis Blues. The Kings will play the San Jose Sharks on February 21 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara as part of the 2015 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series. The jersey the Kings will wear for that game -- and also for the Kings-Sharks game at STAPLES Center on April 11.

The new NHL Stadium Series jersey is available for all fans at the new TEAM LA Store starting tomorrow at 9:00 am and online now at. A limited number of the new jerseys will be available, so fans are encouraged to shop early while supplies last. A collection of 2015 NHL Stadium Series merchandise will also be available for purchase, including jackets, t-shirts and accessories.

"The LA Kings congratulate STAPLES Center and our company's merchandise department in particular on the opening of our highly-anticipated new store. It will be great for Kings fans and just in time for the holidays along with the unveiling of our NHL Stadium Series jersey which we are excited about," said Luc Robitaille, LA Kings President, Hockey Operations and Hockey Hall of Famer.

The official ribbon cutting for the new TEAM LA Store took place following the LA Kings new NHL Stadium Series jersey unveiling and the group included LA Kings President, Hockey Operations and Hockey Hall of Famer Luc Robitaille; STAPLES Center President Lee Zeidman; Los Angeles Lakers Hall of Famer James Worthy; Los Angeles Clippers former player Corey Maggette.

The new TEAM LA Store will be open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please note when a sporting event is scheduled, the store will close two and half hours prior to the game time and when a concert is scheduled the store will close at 3:00 p.m.

All fans that stop by the new TEAM LA Store or shop online will receive a free team beanie with the purchase of $100 or more while supplies last. This week customers can also show their TEAM LA store receipt and they will receive 15% off when you dine at Tom's Urban, located across the street at L.A. LIVE. Parking during non-event hours is free for the first 30-minutes in the West Garage at L.A. LIVE.
