Two Benchmark Innovation Awards For Milestone Systems

XProtect Corporate Video Management Software and REDHAWK GPS/Laser Sensor Map Tracking Integration Add Value for Security Solutions

Milestone Systems, the open platform company in IP video management software (VMS), has received two Benchmark Innovation Awards, which were announced and presented at the IFSEC trade show in London last month. Nominations for the awards were requested from the industry at large by Benchmark Magazine, the only print media in the physical security sector that regularly tests and rates products for the benefit of installers and integrators.

Benchmark Magazine has undertaken extensive testing of various Milestone XProtect video management software offerings over recent years, with high recommendations as a result. XProtect Corporate VMS received praise, especially for the rules functionality in its Management Client which provides unlimited flexibility for customizing a security installation to the specific needs of each customer. There were so many other positive features in the VMS to describe from the tests that the write-up required two parts published over several issues.

When XProtect Corporate received its award nominations from security professionals, Benchmark was therefore aware of the software’s unique attributes, with expert knowledge as to how it operates.

To be worthy of consideration for one of these awards, it is stated clearly in the nomination form that devices or systems must include a specific feature or function that ranks as innovative. Devices or software which add functionality and bring together other established systems are also considered.

One example of such a value-adding solution won the Benchmark Innovation Award for the intruder alarm category this year: REDHAWK, developed by The HawkEye Effect, maps and tracks multiple intruders to a precise GPS coordinate.
