Vodafone Monitors Entire Turkish Sales And Distribution Operations From Single Location

This case study from Intermec takes a look at Vodafone, one of the world’s largest telecoms operators, as it looked to streamline its Turkish sales and distribution channels with the implementation of centralized web-based software. The software was designed to enable all sales and distribution activities to be monitored from a single location. Vodafone wanted to connect their Turkish headquarters directly with its distribution centers, mobile phone centers, Silver dealers, and sub dealers, while at the same time automating field sales operations by using in-car invoice printers and handheld mobile computers.

Vodafone sought a company that could provide a single solution and could manage the entire project from start to finish. Their search ended when they engaged Univera, a leading software company and Intermec Platinum PartnerNet partner. Univera offered their “EnRoute Panorama” solution and based on their extensive experience with similarly-sized projects Vodafone felt Univera was the right company for the job.

This paper describes Univera’s Panorama by saying, “Univera’s Panorama, which was developed on the basis of Microsoft’s SQL 2008 Enterprise Edition infrastructure, is entirely based on a Net Web 2.0 infrastructure and has major technological advantages, including a swift web-based application that can service thousands of users on a page at once. For example, with 1,000 users connected at any given time, Panorama’s response time can be as low as 0.8 seconds, which is 4-5 times faster than competitive solutions with response times closer to 3-4 seconds…”
