Slash Payroll Processing Time With WFM

Source: Ceridian Dayforce

This case study from Ceridian Dayforce takes a look at Guaranty Bank, a complete financial services organization with more than 160 retail bank branches and a host of mortgage subsidiary companies nationwide. Guaranty Bank was using an automated timekeeping system to track its more than 1,600 employees, but they were unhappy with its performance.

Guaranty Bank payroll manager, Cathy Thaxton, noted that one problem was that the bank’s legacy timekeeping solution did not properly integrate with their payroll platform. Because of this Cathy’s team had to spend an hour and a half each pay period transmitting employee time card information to the payroll system for processing. The legacy system also required employees to hand-key hours into their time cards every pay period at each branch, further reducing productivity at individual locations.

Holiday time pay was also an issue with the Guaranty Bank legacy system, requiring the payroll department to spend four hours each holiday performing a manual process plus an audit just to be able to pay their employees holiday time. All these issues put a huge burden on the payroll department along with complaints from managers and employees. Guaranty Bank’s dissatisfaction with their legacy timekeeping system meant that they needed to implement a new and improved solution quickly and without interruption to their business.
