Criminals are getting more sophisticated every day. They are hacking into processes, finding loopholes, and using technology to spread information quickly across networks. Culprits can include retail ‘insiders' and ‘outsiders' — employees or shoplifters. Retailers may experience isolated incidents or a series of lost merchandise across an entire chain of stores.
Enlist The Entire Enterprise Retailers historically have relied on store operations and security teams to detect, identify, and prevent shrink. But as shrink evolves beyond isolated events, the problem can require an enterprise-wide team that represents merchandising, finance, and supply chain as well as the stores themselves.
