"Failure to do so would seriously jeopardize our reputation as a safe, secure online merchant, a reputation that is key to our business."

In order to secure its card-not-present environment in accordance with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards), the company leveraged PayPal™ to direct customers at checkout to a hosted payment page, where they could enter their card information to complete transactions.
