Walmart's aggressive talk of ousting Amazon.com as the global leader in e-commerce sales is hollowed out by the reality of its customer demographic.
The retailer has made some significant moves recently in its effort to gain market share from $20B Amazon.com. It slashed prices on several items, including its ten bestsellers, then slashed them again when competitors Target.com and Amazon matched.
