BlueStar, one of the leading innovator in solutions-based distribution for Auto ID, Point-of-Sale, Mobility and RFID products, is announcing that it is distributing the Datalogic Scanning Magellan 1400i omni-directional imaging scanner for retail point-of-sale (POS) applications.

The Magellan 1400i scanner, like its sister product the Magellan 1000i scanner, uses advanced imaging technology with a well-defined scan volume to prevent accidental scans of items on a small checkout surface. The product also has automated age-verification features that enables it to read bar codes found on most drivers' licenses for use in convenience, drug and specialty stores.
