Site-Command Controller
Product Sheet: Site-Command Controller
The Site-Command Controller utilizes the latest hardware and software technologies and leans heavily on accepted open architecture standards to ensure future upgrade paths and scalability.
The multi-tasking Controller is based on industrial-grade Pentium Class microprocessor with dedicated uninterruptible power supply with primary communications being via Ethernet socket (TCP/IP). The disk-free controller with power failure detection utilizes solid-state memory so that it is inherently resistant to vibration, shock and temperature extremes.
Industrial Linux distribution with embedded Java Virtual Machine (JVM) provides solid, reliable and flexible system architecture with networking support. HTTP and SSH server provide secure, firewall friendly communication to local thin client browsers and off site (WAN connected) browsers/Data Centers. These key components combined with the Site-Command software, allow unattended, yet highly-reliable on-going operations.
System architecture allows for interconnecting monitoring and controlling nodes (thermostats, sensors, refrigeration, HVAC units, dispensers, tank gauges, POS) on distributed RS485 bus (wireless option available) using various industry standard protocols including Modbus, Zigbee and others. As a result, any measurable parameter (e.g., temperature, humidity, pressure, current or voltage) as well as legacy digital systems can be monitored, analyzed and controlled.
Access to the Controller is provided via standard web browsers from any PC, cell phone or mobile device with access to the network as well as via optional on-site flat panel LCD Touch Screen. In the event of a network failure, the Controller operates independently of outside control according to configured rule set.
