The NRF BIG Show is here again. It hardly seems possible that a year has gone by since the last NRF show in New York. As in years past, this is retail’s one chance to see all of the latest solutions, meet with all of the solutions providers, and demo all of the cool new offerings under one roof. The show runs from January 12th to 15th, 2014, and is poised to be even bigger than last year’s show.

Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter and founder of Square, spoke on the final morning of Retail’s BIG Show and EXPO, hosted by the National Retail Federation (NRF). The event, billed as the world's leading retail event, was held Jan. 12-15 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. From Super Saturday: The Changing Landscape Of Retail
Capping a full day of retail-focused education at RetailROI’s Super Saturday event in New York City was a retail executive panel titled “The Changing Landscape of the Retail Environment.” Featured panelists were Mark Kirschner, CMO, eBay; Amy Stanberry, CIO, Gap Inc.; and Kathy Doyle Thomas, EVP & Chief Strategy Officer, Half-Price Books.
HSN CIO Talks “Boundaryless Retail,” Customer Experience
At RetailROI’s Super Saturday, HSN CIO Karen Etzkorn talked about omni-channel, cross-channel, and her phrase of “boundaryless retail.” Etzkorn said HSN is driving an interactive experience between TV, tablets, mobile devices, and the desktop. The retailer has seen significant growth in online and mobile sales. Etzkorn said mobility is now 12 percent of HSN’s overall business, a 57 percent increase vs. a year ago. Additionally, nearly a quarter of the mobile customers are new to HSN.
